Produced from recycled rubber and high grade felt, A10 Acoustic Underlay for carpets is designed for installation beneath carpets to give a superior reduction in impact noise through separating floors.
It is suitable for all types of floor surfaces including timber suspended or concrete and is particularly useful on uneven floors. A10 carpet underlay sound proofing is not designed to reduce airborne noise nuisance. To reduce airborne noise, use our QuietFloor PLUS This underlay is superior to most types of normal underlay and independent testing has shown that an impact sound reduction down to 34Db is achievable with the underlay alone. When combined with a good quality carpet, this sound level will, be reduced even further.
This product meets the Part E building regulations standard for impact noise when bonded to a concrete floor. The tested sample meets the requirements of BS.5808:1991(1996) With concrete floors, provided they have the required amount of total mass (350kg/m2) from floor to ceiling, the Part E regulations for both airborne and impact noise reduction will be met if A10 is glued to the floor surface using our special aerosol adhesive
Classification: Heavy Contract/Heavy Domestic BS 5808 Fitting should meet the British standard code of practice BS 5325. Normally undertaken by experienced fitters and should be laid rubber to the floor surface. Sub floors should be clean, dry and free of oil, grease and damp.
