Acoustic Door Seals
overview
It is often too costly to replace existing internal doors with bespoke Acoustic Doorsets so if the existing doors are heavy enough but still allow noise leakage around the edges and through the threshold, fitting our Acoustic Doorseals can significantly improve the sound insulation of these doors by ensuring all of the edges including the threshold are sealed. This can apply to existing heavy fire doors or solid wood doors and doors that are of architectural interest.
The doorseal kits are easy to install and supplied in DIY form with full fitting instructions. Each doorseal kit contains a full set of acoustic seals to fit around all of the edges of a doorframe including the threshold. With the exception of the threshold, all seals are attached to the doorframe and so do not affect the appearance of the door. If a hidden threshold seal is preferred, we can supply one that is rebated into the bottom of the door that drops down when the door is closed.
These Acoustic Doorseals can improve existing doors to have a sound insulation value in excess of 30dB depending on how thick and heavy they are.

This acoustic door seal kit comes with everything required to uprate an existing heavy double opening door without the need to install a more expensive, full bespoke Acoustic Doorset.
