The Gold Carpet System is designed to absorb and reduce the amount of footfall / impact sound which penetrates poorly insulated floors. The 3 layers of rubber provide very effective noise reduction for talking and airborne sound whilst the chipfoam decouples the floor and the carpet.
Perhaps one of the quickest and most effective acoustic solutions on the market, the Gold Carpet system combining Quietfloor PLUS is remarkably cost-effective.
Quietfloor Plus
Using this product increases airborne sound insulation and reduces impact noise transmission so much that there is no need for the installation of false floors; this not only increases minimum ceiling height but it also reduces labour and materials costs considerably.
The laminated composition of the Quietfloor Plus provides maximum performance for minimum thickness and combines excellent sound insulation with all the qualities of a good carpet underlay.
It is quick and easy to install and is easily cut and shaped. Due to the recycled nature of the sound absorbing foam, the colour, when delivered, is unlikely to be the same as that shown in our photographs.
This product comprises a recycled layer of sound absorbing chip foam bonded to a top and bottom layer of mineral loaded soundproofing mat. The base layer of barrier mat seals and damps the sound coming through the floor, the isolated top layer of barrier mat reduces the sound penetration both ways and the sound absorbing chip foam core dramatically absorbs and reduces impact noise transfer.
In addition, Quietfloor PLUS includes an acoustic foam, which does not harden or crumble over time, unlike some other foams that are normally used in these applications. Due to the flexibility of the product, sheet sizes may vary by up to 5mm.

A layer of Quietfloor PLUS Underlay - (1200 x 600 x 15mm thick) per slab
1 x Layer of Soundproofing Mats - (1.8m x 1.2m / 6ft x 4ft) per mat
Special Spray Adhesive (15oz 426 gram cans)
Enough Jointing Tape - (33 linear metres and 50mm wide)
Enough Quietfloor Plus Perimeter Strips (1000 x 30 x 9mm thick strips)
The system is easy to fit with little D.I.Y experience and is simply laid directly on the floor. There is no need for a carpet underlay and carpet is installed directly on top of the Quietfloor PLUS. See our install video here

We advise to always add a few extra of each product to allow for wastage from offcuts. Our Perimeter strips are hard to calulate so please ensure you either add a few etxra or work out the exact amount before ordering.
When delivered, this product may appear dusty. This is due to chalk used during production to stop the product sticking to each other. It will not affect the performance of the product. However, it is advised that the dust is removed with a damp cloth before taping the joints.
Please note: This system is effective at reducing normal noise levels, that should not normally be heard, for example talking, radio and TV sound. Loud music and bass noise will always be audible although its intensity will be reduced.
