description.
These composites are specifically designed to reduce noise nuisance from enclosed areas where a high degree of sound insulation is required combined with resistance to wear and tear.
The Class 0 aluminium skin is a tough, oil and water resistant coating that protects the sound proofing product without reducing the effective sound absorption of the acoustic foam from internal engines or hydraulic power packs and without the problem of contamination from oil and other fluids.
This sandwich construction comprises a 6mm and 25mm thickness of specially formulated non-flammable sound absorbing foam bonded to each side of a mineral loaded sound barrier mat. The thicker layer of foam is protected by a thin, tough aluminium skin and is always fitted with this face on view.
Applications
Inboard marine engine compartments, hydraulic power packs, compressor housings, shower pumps and many more. The insulation is simply glued into position on the inside walls using our aerosol Special contact adhesive. However, if this sound insulation is to be inverted, due to the heavy weight of this product it is recommended the insulation is additionally secured with mechanical fixings.
