Apart from our Acoustic Doorsets, we can also supply acoustic door seals to upgrade existing lightweight internal domestic type double doors to make them more soundproof and in kits that will fit almost any size doors. Heavier, internal solid wooden doors or fire doors will not require the soundproofing mat so to upgrade these doors, just use the Acoustic Doorseal Kit that does not include materials to increase their weight.
Please note: This kit is only suitable for internal lightweight doors and must not be used externally. For heavy internal doors, use the normal Acoustic Doorseal Kits that do not contain the Sound Barrier Mat and adhesive.
What’s in a kit?
6 x 1m RP120 Self Adhesive Acoustic Seals for the top and sides of the door frame
1 x 2m RP16Si Acoustic Seal for the middle door joint (To be cut to size by installer)
2 x 1m TES Acoustic Threshold Seal (To be cut to size by installer)
2 x 1m CDS Threshold Contact Strip (To be cut to size by installer)
2 x Soundproofing Mats (1.8m x 1.2 m)
1 x Bag of fixing screws
1 x Can of Special Spray Adhesive
1 x Set of installation instructions
This kit comes with everything you will need to up rate a standard double doorset without the additional expense of a full Acoustic Doorset & frame. Just basic tools are required to do this but may well involve removal of the door from its frame during the installation. After fixing the soundproofing mat to a door, we suggest thin ply or MDF is fixed on top to finish it off, please refer to the installation guide from the link on the right hand side above.
If your require an acoustic seal not listed above, please contact us because we will almost certainly be able to supply your requirements. For intumescent seals please mention this when ordering. These are available 15mm or 30mm wide.
