The Studio Ceiling system provides the user with recording studio quality soundproofing and uses our SoundBlocker membrane as well as other products.

The Studio Ceiling System is designed to reduce large amounts of airborne & impact noise which penetrates through poorly insulated floors.
A combination of products go into this detailed system and recording studios across the country use similar materials to obtain maximum noise reduction. Each component is vital in reducing the various types of noise.
SoundBlocker Membrane
This innovative material utilises synthetic rubber and special fillers producing a revolutionary acoustic membrane.
This product is only 1.2mm thick and weighs just 2Kg/ m²so it’s easy to handle and carry.
Work on soundproofing a ceiling can now be carried out by a single person as the roll is simple to work with making for a quick, easy, home improvement product.

Acoustic Mineral Wool
Our AMW boasts more than twice the density of normal loft insulation and so is very efficient at absorbing noise. Acoustic Mineral Wool (AMW) is used extensively in buildings and throughout industry to give acoustic, thermal and fire insulation. It is particularly useful as a sound absorbing infill for the reduction of airborne sound between flooring joists.
It is non-flammable, chemically inert and is not adversely affected by any substance it may come into contact with. The panels are Zero ODP and Zero GWP in the terms of the code for sustainable homes. Each slab is made from 22 % recycled raw materials.
Random arrangement of fibres ensures no water penetration in any direction. It is rot-proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, moulds or bacteria. It will not react with wired plastic or metal wall ties, brickwork or masonry.
How it works
You then have a new isolated ceiling which is floaring on the Resilient Bars. Job done !!
We have created this easy to order system for you but all the products can be purchased individually from other web pages on our site.
Supplied with all the following products included;
1 layer of SoundBlocker Membrane (10m x 1.5m
and 1.2mm thick)
Resilient Bars (3 metres in length which you cut to fit with tinsnips)
Acoustic Mineral Wool (1200mm x 600mm x 100mm thick)
Spray Adhesive (15oz 426 gram cans)
Acoustic Sealant (380ml tube. 10.5 linear metres approx per tube)
2 x layers of Acoustic Plasterboard (12.5mm thick, 2.4m long and 1.2m wide sheets) MIN ORDER OF 5 SHEETS DUE TO SHIPPING.
The system is fairly easy to fit with medium D.I.Y experience or a handyman or builder could do this for you. Before ordering we advise you read through the install instructions above to see if you feel capable of undertaking the work.
Once ordered the products are all delivered to your door (Access Permitting) with full step by step install instructions.

We advise to always add a few extra of each product to allow for wastage from offcuts.
Please note: This system is effective at reducing music and louder domestic noise. Some bass noise will be audible
although its intensity will be reduced. If you would like a thinner system see our Thin Ceiling system.
