Established in 1969 and being one of the longest running businesses to both stock and supply soundproofing materials in the industry, we have built up a wealth of experience offering acoustic solutions and advice to both the commercial/industrial and private sectors. Not only do we offer complementary soundproofing advice, but we can also supply soundproofing solutions to help reduce most noise problems.

Cheap domestic soundproofing is now available

Due to the wide range of soundproofing solutions we can offer, we can usually supply a system to suit your pocket.  It is not true that the more efficient a noise solution is the more it will cost because we can offer a solution to soundproof a wall that is both the cheapest and most efficient.  However, it is true the more efficient acoustic solutions are thicker.

Walls – least to most efficient solutions

  • 27.5mm QuietPanel soundproofing panels that are screwed on.
  • 50mm M20AD system that is fixed with our special adhesive.
  • Studio Wall System, the most efficient, independent stud soundproofing system.

Floors – least to most efficient solutions

  • AMW100  joist insulation – should be used with additional soundproofing products for best results.
  • SoundBlocker Quilt superior joist insulation – should be used with additional soundproofing products for best results.
  • Two or more layers of 5kg, 2mm sound barrier mat onwooden floors.
  • 15mm QuietFloor Plus acoustic underlay for carpets and laminate floors.
  • R10 Resilient insulation for floating floors and should be used with SBM5 and QuietBoard for best results.

Ceilings – least to most efficient solutions

  • SoundBlocker Membrane along with 15mm Acoustic Plasterboard screwed beneath existing ceiling.
  • Resilient Bars decoupling acoustic ceiling of 30mm of Acoustic Plasterboard from underside of joists.
  • Studio Ceiling, an independent timber joisted soundproofed ceiling fitted at least 25mm beneath existing.

Part E

For Approved Document E compliance for separating walls the last two options in the Soundproofing a wall section above will comply.  For separating floors the first and last options under the heading Soundproofing a floor will be required and for ceilings it would be the second option beneath the heading Soundproofing a ceiling.

Availability of sound proofing and sound absorbing products

We can supply both the trade and end user with a wide range of soundproofing materials from stock but most of our sound absorbing products are produced to order according to the overall size and colours required.  Orders can be placed direct with us and all orders received before noon are despatched the same day.  Alternatively, for trade supplies, you can also order through some builders merchants such as Jewsons.  We also have a trade counter so for those that cannot wait they can call in and collect but advise you give us a call first.
